Discord robot voice
Metallic, underwater, or “you sound like a modem” is usually the wrong device, a noise-suppression filter, or a sample-rate mismatch — not a broken mic.
This is nationwide remote help across the United States. We meet on Discord, Zoom, or TeamViewer.
- Windows and Discord must name the same mic. Settings → Sound. Input = the real mic, not Stereo Mix. In Discord: User Settings → Voice & Video, same input and output.
- Turn the robot filter down. If you sound metallic or underwater, lower or disable Krisp / noise suppression and Extra / Advanced processing. Test in that same Discord screen.
- 48 kHz everywhere. Windows sound device → Properties → Advanced, Discord, and OBS if you stream: same rate, usually 48 kHz. 44.1 vs 48 is a common crackle.
- USB path. Rear motherboard port, not a cheap front-panel hub that drops out. One app should own the mic — close other voice apps while you test.
- If they hear the game in your mic you have a routing / loopback problem, not a “better codec.” That is a short session.
What Pulse will do
Sit in Discord with you, match devices and sample rate, and turn the filter down until you sound like yourself. Standard help is $60/hour unless this is part of a stream setup ($75–90/hour). Rate at booking is binding.
What Pulse will not do
We will not buy you a mic, promise a USB gadget we have not heard, or treat a console headset as the product. We will not store your Discord password.
